Legal Remedies
In 2003, Levy Phillips & Konigsberg won the first verdicts, in the country, against the welding rod industry for toxic injuries from defective welding rods. These verdicts on behalf of two New York City workers totaled over $6.5 million against Lincoln Electric and Hobart, two welding rod manufacturers whose welding rods contained asbestos, in addition to manganese and other toxic substances.
