Harm
Characteristics of this disease are Parkinson-like symptoms—tremors, shakes, loss of balance, slowed movement, walking problems, impotency, slurred speech, extreme drowsiness, and leg cramps.

It is widely recognized that Manganese related Parkinsonism can be progressive and permanently disabling. According to scientific researchers, clinical progression of the disease in patients with manganese related Parkinsonism continues many years after exposure to manganese has ended.

Manganese has been known to cause the degenerative brain disorder known as manganism that is sometimes called manganese induced Parkinson’s disease or Parkinsonism. In fact, scientific evidence has shown that a significant percentage of welders showed sign of this disorder.
