LPK attorney Diane Paolicelli obtained a verdict of $3,655,000 in a trial held in New York State Supreme Court on behalf of a 37 year old psychologist who contracted hepatitis C while undergoing platelet transfusions in the care of defendant.

2. Wilson v. Leigh Memorial Hospital
LPK attorneys Robert Komitor and Alan Konigsberg served as co-counsel with Virginia counsel in a trial held in Virginia State Court of a woman who suffered brain damage after experiencing a collapsed lung while undergoing jaw surgery.

Total verdict amounted to $2.75 million.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION
1. Geressy v. Digital Equipment Corporation

LPK attorney Robert I. Komitor obtained a verdict of $627,572 in a trial held in the New York Court of Claims on behalf of a 35 year old former heroine addict, who suffered a severe head trauma upon colliding into the rear of a State vehicle. The plaintiff, returning from his methadone treatment, rear-ended a State vehicle that was stopped in the middle lane of a three lane highway to direct traffic for road repair. The Court held that the State was negligent in failing to direct traffic properly and deviating from its own traffic control manual.

Verdict of $627,572.
