On August 3, 2004, a Manhattan jury awarded a total of $22 Million to one mesothelioma victim, Mr. Bernard Mayer, and to the estate of a man who died of mesothelioma, Mr. Noah Pride. The jury also unanimously found John Crane, Inc. 100% at fault for causing each man's mesothelioma.

October 10, 2002 Jury Finds Exxon-Mobil 100% At Fault
On October 10, 2002, a Manhattan jury found Exxon-Mobil 100% at fault for causing the mesothelioma of LPK Client, Vincent Falbo. The jury unanimously found that Exxon-Mobil was negligent in selling its asbestos product ("Hi-Heat Dum-Dum") without any warning about the hazards of asbestos. An organization of Latino police officers has won class action status for its claim that the New York City Police Department engages in pervasive discrimination in the handling of disciplinary actions.
