Moreover, LPK has spearheaded litigation against the semiconductor industry to eliminate the use of ethylene glycol ethers, which have caused birth defects in the children of semiconductor workers. In a recent class action case involving Latino and African American Police Officers, who were the subject of racial discrimination by the New York City Police Department, LPK obtained a settlement in excess of twenty million dollars, along with an injunction compelling the City to rectify its practices.
