While a member of the Navy's Silent
Service, he was the leading Engineering Laboratory Technician
and Engineering Watch Supervisor on nuclear subs USS Lewis &
Clark (SSBN 644) and USS Santa Fe (SSN 763). Christopher then
served as Lead Chemistry and Radiological Controls Instructor
at the Lockheed Martin Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa,
New York. While at Lockheed Martin, Christopher lectured and provided
training in nuclear chemistry, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste
management, and nuclear power plant operations. Awarded the Navy
and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for Superior Performance he
was designated a Master Training Specialist by the Chief of Naval
Education and Training.
